You're invited: Recovery Month Conference 2014

For many decades addiction was studied measuring treatment failures, recidivism, and overdoses after treatment. Current research indicates that 4.1 million people annually achieve recovery, and roughly half from 12-step and community-based organizations. Addiction is treatable, long-term abstinence is possible, and recovery does happen.

Long-term total abstinence from mind changing, mood altering illicit substances is possible. Where once addiction was thought to be untreatable, we are celebrating the fact that recovery is not only possible, but occurs at higher rates than previously thought. Join us this September during National Recovery Month.

Featured Presentations:

Danny Trejo, Actor / Producer

“I love playing the bad guy in movies, because the bad guy always dies. That’s the real world. If someone asked me to play a bad guy that always gets away with it, I’d pass. That’s the very message I preach to youths who are in crisis and in trouble…the bad guy always loses and the good guy always wins. It’s the one-thing movies and real life see eye-to-eye on.”

Danny Trejo has developed a prolific career in the movie business, yet his road to success has been hard earned and anything but typical. From imprisonment to helping young people battle drug addiction, acting to producing, the name, face, and achievements of Danny Trejo are well recognized in Hollywood.
