What Happens After

August 22, 2012 11:27 am Published by Leave your thoughts

I don’t get it

I just don’t

I don’t want to

I just won’t

Nothing seems right

Nothing makes sense

Everyone’s pressure

I’m sitting on a fence

Alcohol, drugs, & sex isn’t my scene

But, they’re my friends.

I’m torn in between.

If I take that, I’ll fit in with the party.

But, in the end it is my body.

The consequences are all on me.

The stomach aches, migraines, and vomiting.

For just one night,

No more problems

No more hype.

But, what happens after,

When it all wears away?

Reality checks back in

The pain is here to stay.

That one measly drink,

The one slight puff

Starting is easy,

Getting out is tough.

“Oh, it’s just weed,

It won’t kill me”

Try saying that when you’re eighty.

You have lung cancer & you’re dying.

You’re weak & still lying.

Just one question is all I ask

Is saying “no” such a difficult task?

Think about it.
