Health Literacy MonthBe a Health Literacy Hero! This is a time for organizations and individuals to promote the importance of understandable health information.

What can you, as an active and aware community member, do?

Arm yourself with knowledge — take a look at Straight Up’s resources, which include guides for adults to talk to their kids, and for kids to talk to adults!

Check out the Health Literacy Fact Sheet — so that you can obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions.

Take a Mental Health First Aid course, so that you can understand what a mental health emergency is about and how to be helpful in the “front lines”.
