This post was written by a Ventura County high school student. So this is about my friend. He lives in England now. Because the legal drinking age there is lower than in the US, he  and his friends thought it was okay to go out all night and party.

From the Straight Up video contest 2011 — “Choice”

17-year-old Sophie G, from the Agoura Hills area, won third place in the “Say It Straight Up” video contest presented by Straight Up in 2011. She created “Choice,” a touching black-and-white video, in which a young girl mourns the death of a friend killed by a drunk driver.

DoSomething.org offers up innovative ideas for young people to get involved and make a change. Their action tips for alcohol abuse awareness include a guide on creating a designated driver program, on designing an informational health brochure, and filming a documentary.
