when the harshest of things reach out to the alone
they go back to the comfort they know
maybe it will keep them from the edge with that smoke
avoiding death from depression, from a rope
sometimes these kids I know have nothing left to go on for
makes me see how much I get to live, how much more
dont judge to swift on these confused and lost
society abandoned many of them, so they pay the cost
they will carry on, survive and move on as best they can
they dont get a perfect world to live hand in hand

This is inspiring
“As a Chaplain in a treatment facility I have had the opportunity to hear many stories from people. I hear many hardships in session as I meet the patients in drug treatment. In many of the stories, often, there is a common refrain. Not only do the stories tend to sound similar but the response of the patients and what they do with it sound the same as well.”
Go to Drug Addiction Treatment: “Our Sober Approach to God” OR http://goo.gl/a26S8 to read more.”

I agree. I am a freshman in high school and I obviously listen to a lot of pop music..stuff that's on the radio and some things do bother me. When I was in 8th grade I had to go to rehab for alcohol abuse. In rehab we were taught not to listen to music like katy perry or lil wayne. A lot of the new music influences teens to drink or smoke or party. It makes us feel like we are cool and that it's okay to get messed up, when in reality...it' not okay. In reality, you can go party and drink and all that "fun" stuff but you could end up dead, in the hospital, you could loose a friend, and many other horrible things.
I think it's unreasonable to ask teens to stop listening to music like that because it is so popular but i do think it's reasonable to ask teens to really think about what they are listening to and think about what they're values and beliefs are before they make any grown up decisions...such as drinking.

I think that we could contact some clubs and let them know that they can get in trouble if they are allowing teens in who don't have real i.d.'s. I think it is important to remember that a lot of kids do have single parents who can't watch their kids all the time but by contacting the clubs it will help the kids do the right things and stay out of trouble as well as help the parents know that their kids are safe.

I can relate to this situation. I understand how painful, scary, and traumatizing this is for a girl. When I was at a party, i was 12 years old and I thought I was so cool because I was at a party! But because I was so young and immature, I was easily taken advantage of. I think every girl who goes to a party has to be safe and make sure they are always with someone they can trust and count on. This situation also shows how much alcohol or drug abuse can affect you and you can loose control very easily. My advice would be to not drink or do drugs at all. You can always go to a party and be sober and still have a good time.

I don’t really know how marijuana can affect our health but I am sure that it won’t do anything good if taken without medical intervention. It will just ruin lives the same way alcohol does. I just can’t see the logic behind those people who drink too much alcohol and those using marijuana.
